An ethnic blend of talented student and guest singers, musicians, dancers and poets took the stage at the Green River Community College Lindbloom Center for the inaugural Fall Diversity Festival on Nov. 29.

The four-hour program featured 13 acts, ranging from soloists to the featured guests, Lions Ambition, a high-energy rock-and-rap band from Seattle.

The concert was an opportunity for young artists to perform in the spirit of cultural diversity.

Michael Tuncap, GRCC director of diversity and multicultural affairs and event coordinator, was pleased with the show.

“Auburn and Kent are becoming so diverse,” said Tuncap, who also took the stage to emcee and perform with his friend, rapper and hip-hopper Disekt One. “This (event) is an opportunity to provide a safe place to show different cultures and talent.”
