HPI gives back during holiday season

HPI manufactures and distributes portable ramps, residential modular ramps, wheelchair accessories and bathing aids marketed under the EZ-ACCESS brand.

HPI recently donated 1,650 pounds of food and $400 to Auburn Food Bank. It also donated two boxes of toys and a bike to Valley Regional Fire Authority Toy Drive.

HPI owners donated baskets of food to all of its employees.

The Covington Fred Meyer produce manager, meat manager and employees coordinated and assembled 110 baskets of food.

Road Runner Trucking delivered the baskets to HPI’s facility in Algona.

After the company luncheon, baskets were delivered to the employees.

Employees also donated $200 of their contest winnings to the Food Bank.

Started as a home business in 1984, HPI has grown to employ more than 100 people in five states and has more than 240,000 square feet of manufacturing and distribution plants (manufacturing facilities in Auburn and Morganfield, Ky.).

HPi is classified as a small, woman-owned company and is operated by owners Glenda Everard, president; Deanne Sandvold, vice president; and Don Everard, CEO.
