Jeep passenger fires shots | Auburn police blotter

A sample of incidents recorded in the Auburn Police Department blotter.

The following information is taken from the Auburn Police Department daily blotter between June 1 through June 8, 2022. All told there were 23 assaults, 19 vehicle thefts and 14 burglaries reported.

June 1

Controlled substance: A woman was arrested for possession of a controlled substance on A Street Southeast at 2:55 p.m.

Theft: A man stole markers from Office Depot on Auburn Way North and damaged a laptop computer at 6:17 p.m.

Harassment: A man was arrested for felony harassment in the 500 block of A Street Southeast around midnight.

June 2

Shooting: The passenger of a black Jeep fired a gun at someone in the 500 block of 16th Street Northeast at 3:30 p.m. There is no indication an arrest was made.

Burglary: A business was burglarized in the 200 block of East Main Street at around 1:30 a.m.

Counterfeit: Fake $20 bills were spent at the McDonald’s on Lake Tapps Parkway Southeast at 10:30 a.m.

June 3

DUI: A man was arrested for driving under the influence in the 1200 block of Auburn Way North around midnight.

Theft: A firearm was reported stolen on Auburn Way South at 11 p.m.

Assault: A man was arrested for domestic violence assault in the 1300 block of 26th Street Northwest at 9 a.m.

June 4

Burglary: A non-residential burglary occurred in the 1300 block of 4th Street Southwest.

Assault: A woman was arrested for domestic violence assault in the 1900 block of F Street Southeast at 8 p.m.

Assault: A woman was shot by a man on Terrace View Lane Southeast at 6:43 p.m., and there is no indication an arrest was made.

June 5

DUI: Following a collision in the 1300 block of K Street Northeast, a man was arrested for DUI.

Theft: A theft from North Auburn Rehab was reported by phone at 8 a.m.

Assault: A woman was arrested for assault on 31st Street Northeast at 10:33 a.m.

June 6

Vehicle theft: A red 1995 Nissan Pathfinder was stolen from M Street Southeast in the early morning hours of June 6.

Assault: A woman was reportedly assaulted by her sister in the 1400 block of 17th Street Southeast.

DUI: A woman was arrested for DUI after a collision that occurred in the 500 block of Auburn Way South at 12:05 a.m.

June 7

Burglary: A residential burglary on Academy Drive Southeast was reported at 8:22 p.m., and there is no indication that an investigation or arrest took place in connection with the burglary.

Trespass: Three men were trespassed from Auburn City Parks until 2023.

Assault: A domestic violence assault was reported in the 3800 block of D Place Southeast at 11:01 a.m., and there is no indication that an investigation or arrest took place in connection with the assault.

June 8

Controlled substance: A person was arrested for “drug loitering” on 1st Street Southeast at 8:05 a.m.

Burglary: A residence in the 3600 block of I Street Northeast was burglarized between 8 a.m. and 9:38 a.m., and there is no indication that an investigation or arrest took place in connection with the burglary.

Assault: A woman was arrested for domestic violence assault in the 2900 block of Auburn Way South at 11:40 a.m.
