Moms and sons came dressed for the job at the Ladies and Lil’ Gents’ Under Construction work-and-play party Saturday at the Auburn Community & Event Center.

The city Parks, Arts and Recreation Department offered the program – a fun “date night” for moms and their little boys, ages 3-11. They came dressed in their best builders outfits and enjoyed light refreshments, dancing with a DJ, a hands-on activity and a few surprises.

The gym also was set up for open play.
