Meeting set for city, Parkstone officials over proposed development

The Auburn City Council will hold a special meeting at 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27 to consider a resolution authorizing the mayor and city clerk to execute a development agreement between the city and Parkstone Investments, Inc.

The agreement would allow Parkstone to develop “Renaissance at Auburn,” a 120-unit, independent senior housing and retail project on 2.67 acres at 5029 Auburn Way North.

In 2007, the City Council denied the project after raising concerns about the single-entrance off of Auburn Way North. Parkstone claimed the city had led it to believe the project would be approved and filed suit seeking a reversal of the decision.
