Sarah K. Miller, emergency preparedness manager for the City of Auburn, recently received the Certified Emergency Manager credential.

The CEM designation is the highest honor of professional achievement available from the International Association of Emergency Managers. Miller is one of 61 managers who were approved to join the class.

More than 3,200 emergency managers representing local, state and federal government, as well as private industry and military emergency managers, comprise IAEM membership.

The IAEM’s credential requirements include experience, references, education, training and contributions to the profession.
