Miss Auburn’s Outstanding Teen earns semifinalist spot in state contest

Keely Franchini, Miss Auburn’s Outstanding Teen 2015, was one of five semifinalists chosen in the Miss Washington’s Outstanding Teen (MWOTeen) competition staged at the Highline Performing Arts Center in Burien this weekend.
MWOTeen made available more than $4 million in college scholarships nationally to young women from 13 to 17 years of age. This year, 26 MWOTeen contestants were awarded awards and scholarships.
Abigail Dominguiano, Miss Great Peninsula’s Outstanding Teen, earned the MWOTeen title, which included a $5,000 scholarship and a prize package of more than $7,000. Makaylah Richardson, Miss Thurston County’s Outstanding Teen, was first runner-up.
Second runner-up winner was Miss Liberty’s Outstanding Teen Amanda Enz, a former Miss Auburn Outstanding Teen.
Miss Washington’s Outstanding Teen is a scholarship-based program, offering accomplished teens the opportunity to be awarded funds for college. The program promotes scholastic achievement, creative accomplishment, healthy living and community involvement for America’s teens.
Miss Washington’s Outstanding Teen is an official preliminary of the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Program, and little sister to the Miss Washington and the Miss America Organization.
