A motorcyclist was killed in a five-car collision in Auburn on 15th Street Northwest during Monday’s 5 p.m. commute, Auburn Police reported.

A woman driving a vehicle struck the motorcyclist from behind and then hit two other vehicles near state Route 167, police said.

The motorcyclist died at the scene, police said. The woman was injured in the wreck and transported to a local hospital.

Impairment and inattentive driving appear to be factors in the fatal crash, police said.
