The Maple Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra culminates its fourth annual summer camp, themed “The Good, The Bad, The Ugly,” with an Aug. 12 concert featuring movie music of favorite heroes, villains and monsters.

The 7 p.m. concert is at Maple Valley Presbyterian Church, 22659 Sweeny Road SE, Maple Valley.

The camp will be attended by close to 125 students and will feature music from “How to Train Your Dragon,” “Phantom Of The Opera,” “Magnificent Seven,” “The Good, The Band, And The Ugly,” and others.

A $5 suggested donation will be welcomed at the door.

Audition call for young musicians

The MVYSO is accepting registrations for auditions for the 2011-2012 Season. Auditions will be held Aug. 16, 17, 18, 27 and Sept. 1. Auditions will be held at Taylor Creek Church, 21110 244th Ave. SE, Maple Valley.

Season performance highlights include a masquerade concert, holiday concert, waltz gala ball, Seattle Thunderbirds hockey game and community events.

MVYSO boasts a playing group for every level.
