On Wednesday, Sept. 6, construction work for the Auburn Way South Safety Improvements project will require night work on Auburn Way South near Riverwalk Drive SE in order to install a new water service connection across Auburn Way South.

The contractor will begin work at 2 a.m. and will complete the westbound side of Auburn Way South by 5 a.m. in order to minimize impacts to the morning commute traffic (westbound). The contractor will continue working in the eastbound lanes throughout the day and will complete the remaining work by 2:00 PM in order to minimize impacts to the afternoon commute traffic (eastbound).

Access to businesses within the project area will be maintained during construction. Please use caution and pay close attention to police officers, flaggers, construction sign directions, and follow the posted detours. This work is dependent on weather.
