Construction to affect 15th Street SW this weekend | UPDATES

On Friday evening, Oct. 19, through Saturday morning, Oct. 20, construction work for the King County Kent-Auburn Conveyance System improvements project will require lane closures and disruptions to both directions of 15th Street SW, from Perimeter Road to Industry Drive SW, from 9 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

The work is dependent on weather.

Access to residences and businesses within the project area will be maintained during construction, but delays should be expected. Please pay close attention to police officers, signs and flaggers.

Elsewhere

• On Tuesday night, Oct. 16, and again on Wednesday night, Oct. 17, construction will begin pavement repair work at the intersection of 8th Street SW and C Street SW.

The pavement repair work will require a curb lane closure in the southbound direction on C Street SW and lane shifts on 8th Street SW. The work will occur between the hours of 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. The work is dependent on weather.

Access to local businesses will be open during construction, however delays should be expected.

• Nighttime work for the WSDOT Auburn Way South Paving Project will restart on Wednesday, Oct. 17, and will continue through Friday, Oct. 19. The work will require lane closures and disruptions to both directions of Auburn Way South (SR 164), from SR 18 to 17th Street SE, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.

The project is being implemented by the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) with participation by the City of Auburn.

• On Sunday, Oct. 21, street channelization striping work by Miles Resources, Inc., for the South 277th Street preservation project, will be completed between the hours of 5 a.m. and 3 p.m. The work will require lane closures and disruptions in both directions of South 277th Street from Auburn Way North to SR 167. The work is dependent on weather and may be re-scheduled without further notice.
