Police arrest two juveniles in connection to Auburn shooting death

Law enforcement have arrested two juvenile suspects in connection to a shooting on May 30 in Auburn that resulted in the death of a man.

Auburn police arrested a boy and girl in Oregon the morning of May 31 with the assistance of the Gresham Police Department, according to the department’s social media.

The Auburn Police Department received reports on May 30 at approximately 9:32 a.m. regarding shots fired at the intersection of 4th Street and Auburn Way South.

According to the department, the suspect’s vehicle pulled up next to the victim’s vehicle at a stoplight and fired shots into the vehicle. Gunshots struck a man in his 20s in the passenger seat. First responders pronounced the man dead at the scene.

The department’s public information log listed multiple witnesses to the incident.

The incident resulted in closures in parts of 4th Street.
