Burglary

Auburn police were dispatched on Feb. 5 after receiving a report at approximately 5:21 p.m. regarding a strong-arm robbery. According to the department’s public information log, a residential burglary occurred in the 4000 block of Auburn Way South. The department’s log listed two unidentified suspects in the incident and three victims. According to the department’s log, the suspects stole a cellphone and shoes in the incident.

Aggravated assault

Auburn police were dispatched on Feb. 2 after receiving a report at approximately 11:05 a.m. regarding an aggravated assault at the Auburn Library at 1102 Auburn Way South. According to the department’s public information log, police arrested one suspect in the incident, booking him on a felony charge of assault in the second degree. Multiple individuals witnessed the incident. The department’s log listed one victim.

Bank robbery

Auburn police were dispatched on Feb. 1 after receiving report at approximately 12:28 p.m. regarding a bank robbery in the 100 block of Auburn Way South. According to the department, a man in his 40s walked into the bank and showed a message on his cellphone demanding money. The teller handed the suspect money containing a tracker. According to the department’s log, the suspect left the bank with more than $6,000 in cash. Auburn police utilized a K9 track and the tracker in the money to locate and arrest the suspect within 30 minutes of the robbery, according to the department. Police booked the suspect on a charge of robbery in the first degree.

Threatened with a knife

Auburn police were dispatched on Jan. 30 after receiving a report at approximately 12:17 p.m. regarding a weapons offense. According to the department’s public information log, two men were threatened with a knife in the area of the 700 block of Outlet Collection Drive Southwest in Auburn. The department’s log identified a suspect in the incident.
