Registration now open for Auburn mobile vaccination clinic

Here’s an update on FEMA vaccination locations in South King County.

Federal Way’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Mobile Community Vaccination Center is opening from noon to 7 p.m. in Federal Way through Jan. 3, according to Public Health — Seattle & King County. The mobile vaccination center will then move to Auburn.

The community clinics are offering COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters to children and adults for free. Vaccinations are free regardless of citizenship status and insurance.

In Federal Way, the free vaccine clinic is located at the Federal Way Performing Arts and Event Center, 31510 Pete von Reichbauer Way S. Appointments are encouraged, though the mobile clinic in Federal Way can accommodate drop-in visitors as space is available, according to the county.

A mobile vaccination center is set to open at the Auburn GSA, 2701 C Street SW, from Jan. 5-20. Registration for the FEMA site in Auburn and at senior centers in Auburn and Kent is available at publichealthinsider.com/kingcommunityvax/.

The community vaccination clinics can vaccinate 300 to 500 people per day. Anyone receiving a first or second vaccination dose at one of these clinics receives $50 gift card.

Appointments are available at both sites seven days a week. The clinics are closed Jan. 1, Jan. 4 and Jan. 17.
