A departure from the usual has lead to a life-changing win for a Renton man.

Phani Jampala recently became a millionaire after a recent visit to the Muckleshoot Casino in Auburn.

The man was playing the gaming destination’s newly installed Willy Wonka World of Wonka machines by Scientific Games when a $6 bet triggered a staggering progressive jackpot of $1,183,628.14.

Joined by his wife, a jubilant Jampala shared that he normally prefers table games, especially blackjack. His decision to try something yielded the casino’s second million dollar payout.

In January 2011, a lucky local won $1,040,253 on a mere $2.50 spin.
