Due to a recent accumulation of log debris on the upstream side of the White River Bridge at R Street Southeast, the City of Auburn will close the bridge to traffic on Saturday to allow a contractor to safely remove the debris.

All visitors to the area should be reminded to avoid going near the log debris as these materials can be moved by the stream flow creating a safety hazard that could result in serious injury or drowning.

Alternate routes are strongly advised and long delays should be anticipated until the bridge can be reopened to normal traffic.
