Teenage shoplifters and residential burglaries | Auburn police blotter

The following information is taken from the Auburn Police Department daily blotter. All told 16 vehicle thefts, 14 assaults and 14 burglaries were recorded between Aug. 30 and Sept. 5.

Aug. 30

Dead body: Auburn police conducted a welfare check on a reportedly stolen vehicle and a man was found dead inside at around 7:20 a.m. The man was pronounced deceased by the Valley Regional Fire Authority.

Shooting: A man was shot multiple times on the 800 block of 22nd Street Northeast at 12:30 p.m. and was subsequently transported to the hospital. There is no indication Auburn police made an arrest in connection with the shooting.

Drugs: Police arrested a man for drug loitering and a warrant on the 100 block of Auburn Way South at 8:40 a.m.

Aug. 31

Vehicle theft: A truck was stolen from a local auto dealership on Auburn Way north between 7 p.m. and 10 a.m. There is no indication Auburn police made an arrest in connection with this crime.

Shoplifting: Three girls were arrested for shoplifting in the 4000 block of A Street Southeast at 7:30 p.m. They were later released to their guardians.

Burglary: A residential burglary on 54th Place was reported at 8:53 a.m. There is no indication Auburn police made an arrest in connection with this crime.

Sept. 1

Assault: Auburn police arrested a man for domestic violence assault on the 31500 block of 117th Place Southeast just after midnight.

Assault: A domestic violence assault in the 4th degree occurred at the River’s Edge Apartments in Auburn. There is no indication Auburn police made an arrest in connection with this crime.

Sept. 2

Burglary: Police took a report of a residential burglary on the 6300 block of South 298th place at 3:53 p.m. There is no indication Auburn police made an arrest in connection with this crime.

Warrant: A man was arrested on a felony warrant for kidnapping and assault on the 1400 block of Outlet Collection Way Southwest at 6:22 p.m.

Disorderly conduct: A man was arrested for disorderly conduct on the 100 block of Second Street Southeast at 1:30 a.m.

Sept. 3

Vandalism: A man was arrested for vandalism on the 900 block of 14th Street Northeast at 8:47 a.m.

Drugs: Auburn police arrested a man for possession of a controlled substance at the Auburn Duck Pond at 5:30 p.m.

Assault: An adult woman was taken to the hospital after assaulting her father at 7:30 p.m.

Sept. 4

Burglary: Auburn police arrested two men for burglary on the 3500 block of C Street Northeast at 10:51 a.m.

Assault: A domestic violence assault was reported on the 1200 block of 72nd Street Southeast at 11:20 a,m. There is no indication Auburn police made an arrest in connection with this crime.

Trespassing: Auburn police arrested a man for trespassing on the 2200 block of Auburn Way North at 7:12 p.m.

Sept. 5

Assault: Police documented an assault that took place on the 1100 block of 26th Street Southeast at 12 p.m. There is no indication Auburn police made an arrest in connection with this crime.

Harassment: A man threatened another man with a knife on the 2000 block of Auburn Way South at 8:12 p.m. There is no indication Auburn police made an arrest in connection with this crime.

Burglary: A business was burglarized at the 2100 block of Auburn Way North at 4:44 a.m. There is no indication Auburn police made an arrest in connection with this crime.
