Dec. 8

Aid call: 8 a.m., (Algona). Firefighters treated an older man who had not been acting like himself and transported him to Valley Medical Center in Renton for evaluation.

Dec. 9

CPR: 1:01 p.m.(South Auburn). When firefighters and King County Medics got to a woman who had fallen and hit her head, she was not breathing and had no pulse. Firefighters began CPR and restored both breath and pulse. Medics then transported the woman to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center (MAMC).

Dec. 10

Brush fire: 1:44 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responding to a brush fire near railroad tracks extinguished a camping tent that had caught on fire.

Dec. 11

Aid call: 8:01 a.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters treated a young boy with a possible wrist fracture, and his mother took him to a local hospital.

Dec. 12

Aid call: 8:45 p.m., (Lakeland Hills). Firefighters helped a child who had fallen, and a private ambulance transported the small one to MAMC.

Dec. 13

Aid call: at 10:32 a.m., (Pacific). Firefighters helped a woman in the throes of severe abdominal pain, then, while waiting for a private ambulance to arrive, changed out the batteries that were squawking in the smoke detectors in her home. The private ambulance showed up and transported the woman to a local hospital.

Dec. 14

Accident: 3:53 p.m., (South Auburn). Having arrived at the scene of a two-car accident, firefighters found one car that had hit a utility pole and the other with minor damage. Two men and two woman sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash, so a private ambulance and a fire department aid car transported them to a local hospital in stable condition. The fifth person, a woman, was not hurt.
