May 23

Aid call: 11:44 a.m., (Pacific). Firefighters treated a middle-aged man who’d sustained a hand injury, and a private ambulance transported him to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center (MAMC).

May 24

Aid call: 3:18 p.m., (Lakeland Hills). Firefighters treated an older man who was complaining of neck pain from a fall, and a private ambulance transported him to MAMC.

May 25

Illegal burn: 8:21 p.m., (South Auburn). Having been dispatched to a report of smoke in a residential area and finding a man burning yard waste in a metal fire pit in his backyard, firefighters schooled the fellow on burning restrictions and how to obtain a burn permit, whereupon the man drowned the fire with his garden hose and said he would seek a proper permit.

Aid call: 2:18 p.m., (Algona). Firefighters helped up an elderly woman who had fallen without injury.

Aid call: 10:57 a.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters treated a middle-aged woman who was complaining of abdominal pain, and a private ambulance transported her to MAMC.

Accident: 1:03 p.m., (South Auburn). Having responded to an accident in front of the Auburn Library, firefighters found three cars in the parking lot that had sustained minor damage, and three people who were unhurt.

Aid call: 2:17 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters treated a man who had sustained a puncture wound to his leg, and left him with after-care instructions.
