The Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to 240 calls for service between Feb. 24 and March 1, among them the following:

Feb. 24

Aid call: 11:01 a.m., (Lakeland Hills). Firefighters treated an ailing senior citizen, and a private ambulance transported him or her to Valley Medical Center for further care.

Feb. 25

Aid call: 10:14 a.m., (Pacific). Firefighters evaluated an elderly patient who was complaining of nausea and dizziness, and a private ambulance transported him or her to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center (MAMC).

Feb. 26

Natural gas leak: 4:50 p.m., (Auburn). Responding to a reported natural gas leak at a propane filling station, firefighters found employees changing tanks. As a small quantity of gas escaping is normal, no fire problem.

Feb. 27

Motor vehicle collision: 5:03 p.m.,(Auburn). Firefighters hurried to a four-vehicle collision, and a private ambulance transported one person to MAMC.

Feb. 28

Gas leak: 7:07 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responding to a gas leak discovered that a crew had been trying to repair a water supply line when it accidentally cut a residential gas line. Firefighters notified Puget Sound Energy of the problem, and PSE sent crews to clamp off and fix the gas line.

Feb. 29

Accident: 11:30 p.m.(South Auburn). King County Medic One and the Auburn Police Department responding to a two-car accident with significant damage and injuries evaluated and treated multiple people on scene, and then King County Medic One and a private ambulance transported them to various hospitals.

March 1

Aid call: 12:11 a.m., (Lakeland Hills). Firefighters evaluated a person who was in the throes of severe tremors, and a private ambulance transported that person to a local hospital.
