The Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to 248 calls for service between May 7 and 13.

May 7

Aid call: 1:21 p.m.,(Auburn). Firefighters examined a young woman who’d sustained lower leg and foot pain when a passenger car backed over her. A private ambulance scooted her to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center (MAMC).

May 8

Aid call: 8:42 a.m., (Lakeland Hills). Firefighters evaluated a student at Auburn Riverside High School who was struggling to breathe, and a family member took the youngster to a hospital.

May 9

Aid call: 6:35 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters transported to MAMC a senior citizen who was exhibiting stroke-like symptoms.

May 10

Aid call: 2:46 p.m., (Pacific). Crews applied a VAC splint to a girl at Alpac Elementary school who’d sustained a possible arm fracture, and used a cold pack to reduce the inflammation before transporting her to MAMC for further care.

May 11

Aid call: 10:50 a.m.(South Auburn). Firefighters and King County Medics evaluated a senior citizen who was having difficulty breathing, and transported him to MAMC.

May 12

Aid call: 12:23 a.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters and King County Medics treated a woman who was complaining of heart-attack-like symptoms, and medics transported her to MAMC.

May 13

Service call: 3:58 p.m., (Pacific). Firefighters dispatched to the 700 block of 3rd Street Southeast for a tree down found a 50-foot-tall tree that had broken apart, fallen across the road and smashed a vehicle. Firefighters called Pacific public works personnel to remove the tree. Nobody was hurt.
