VRFA firefighters respond to vehicle in pond Auburn; 2 transported to hospitals

The VRFA and Auburn Police responded to a report of a vehicle that was on its roof in a pond off West Valley Highway and westbound Highway 18. One man and one woman were transported to hospitals.

The Valley Regional Fire Authority was dispatched to a report of a vehicle on its roof in a pond off West Valley Highway and westbound Highway 18 at 1:44 p.m. today.

An Auburn Police officer was performing CPR on an adult male when fire crews arrived. The man was transported to Harborview by King County Medic One.

Two additional adult patients were treated at the scene and one female was transported to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center.

VRFA water rescue technicians searched the vehicle and found no additional occupants.

The on and off ramp to West Valley Highway South to Peasley Canyon and Highway 18 west were closed due to the accident.
