‘Yahoos’ on the loose in Auburn | Police Blotter

July 6 Vandalism: 6:03 a.m., 1100 block of W Street Northwest. Some yahoo chucked a rock at a home, damaging said home. Vandalism: 9:11 a.m., 1400 block of U Court Northwest. Another yahoo, perhaps different from the aforementioned yahoo, chucked a baseball through a window of a home, damaging said window.

Auburn police responded to the following calls for service between July 7 and July 3:

July 7

Wandering kitty: 3:16 a.m., 29000 block of 53rd Place S. A woman called 911 to report that her next-door neighbor had trapped her cat. Police contacted the neighbor and learned that the neighbor had acted on King County Animal Control instructions on how to handle a trespassing cat. The animal was returned to the custody of the owner and animal control got the case.

July 6

Vandalism: 6:03 a.m.,

Vandalism: 9:11 a.m.,

1400 block of U Court Northwest. Another yahoo, perhaps different from the aforementioned yahoo, chucked a baseball through a window of a home, damaging said window.

Vandalism: Overnight, 3400 block of Olympic Street Southeast. Still more yahoos smashed the windows on a woman’s vehicle.

Auto theft: 11 a.m., 2200 block of K Street Southeast. Somebody stole a man’s car from in front of his home while was away for four days.

Harassment: 2:15 p.m., 5200 block of South 302nd Place. A juvenile boy reported that a man he didn’t know had threatened to kill him if he set foot in his yard again.

Shoplifting: 4:15 p.m., 1400 block of Supermall Way Southwest. Police arrested a man at Wal-Mart for selecting items then exchanging them for a refund without ever having paid for them.

Burglary: 3 a.m., 120 block of 16th Street Southeast. While a man was away from his apartment, persons unknown stole into his residence by breaking a rear window and helped themselves to $830 worth of his property.

Assault: 9:15 p.m., 11600 block of Southeast 320th Street. Ten guys assaulted a lone guy in an unknown location. The victim couldn’t say who had beat him or where the beating had taken place.

July 5

Rape: 10 p.m., East Main St. Police arrested a 21-year-old man for child rape in the third degree and second-degree rape of a teenage girl. Police arrested another man at the scene for obtaining booze for persons ineligible to drink it.

July 3

Assault: 10:16 p.m., 2800 Emerald Downs Drive. Police arrested a man after he assaulted a husband and wife in a parking lot at Emerald Downs.

Assault: 9:36 p.m., 2300 block of I Street Northeast. Police arrested a man by citation after he punched a female many times in the face over a monetary dispute.
