Zumper.com: Auburn has 17th highest one-bedroom rental rate among 20 Seattle-metro area cities

Auburn is the 17th most expensive city among 20 in the Seattle Metro area in which to rent a one-bedroom house, a room, a condo or an apartment.

According to online publication zumper.com’s Seattle Metro Report for June 2019, which analyzed active listings in May, a person renting a one-room pad in Auburn plunked down a median $1,040 a month.

The priciest three cities which to rent a one-bedroom unit, according to zumper.com, were Bellevue at $2,090 – where the median rental jumped 8 percent, or $100, over the same period last year – followed by Seattle, where the median is $1,080, and Redmond where it is $1,860.

The least expensive cities in the Seattle Metro area in which to rent, Zumper reports, were Marysville, where the median rent was $910 a month, followed by Lakewood, where it was $1,000 and University Place, where it was $1,030.

Renton showed the sharpest increase in median rent for one-bedroom unit in the Seattle Metro area, up 12.9 percent over the same period last year. followed by Sammamish up 10 percent, and University Place, up 9.6 percent.

An outlier was Kirkland, where the rental media dropped 11 percent.

The Washington state median rent for one-bedroom units was $1,292 in May.
