BERTHA MAE (CORAK) BARCLAY

Bertha Barclay of Auburn, WA passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017. She was born on July 4, 1926 in Seattle.

Bert graduated from Franklin High School in 1944 and worked as a secretary for Labor & Industries at the Smith Tower until she met Gordon Barclay in Tenino, WA in 1945. They were married for 58 years until he passed away in 2004.

Gordon was in the Navy Submarine service for 30 years, so raising their two children relocating with the military every few years kept Bert busy.

She is survived by daughter Sherry Ewing and husband Larry of Gig Harbor WA, Wayne Barclay and wife Molly of Vashon Island, WA, grandchildren Todd Robinson, wife Stephanie, two great grandchildren of Paige Springs, AZ, and Jennifer Robinson of Portland, OR.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Price Helton Funeral Home in Auburn, WA. Reception to follow at Rio Verde Mobile Estates clubhouse from 12:30-3:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Disabled American Veterans or the Auburn Humane Society.
