Beverly Elaine Murphey

Born 09/11/1922 Died 07/18/2008Elaine was preceded in death by her husbands Archie Lavatt and John Murphey.She was a retired school teacher with the Auburn School District. I believe that anyone ever in the fifth grade had her as their teacher. She was most loved, and in turn loved and inspired her students throughout her 30 years of teaching and she retired from the Auburn School District in 1977. Elaine left no family but many, many friends. She was probably best known for haunting the thrift shops and finding little things to give to friends to cheer them up when needed.She was a greeter at Walmart and always had a smile on her face.Elaine will be remembered as she played piano with the Good Time Fiddlers in parades, nursing homes and around town.At her request there will be no service but on August 9th Good Time Fiddlers will be having a jam and all musicians and friends that were touched by Elaine are welcome to come and share.
