FRANCIS CHARLES NELSON

On Tuesday, January 21st, 2020 Frank C. Nelson, loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away at the age of 75. Frank was born on October 4th, 1944 in Apache, Oklahoma to Charles Henry and Helen Elizabeth (Thomas) Nelson.

Frank graduated from Apache High School in 1962, attended Cameron State University and then joined the US Navy, he served from 1963 to 1969. After his honorable discharge from the Navy he drove his Volkswagen Bug to Washington State for employment with The Boeing Company. He later worked for the Auburn School District, and retired after 37 years serving as the Supervisor of Grounds, Warehouse and Custodial.

Frank’s hobbies and passions included – hunting, fishing, horseback riding, penny ante poker, western books, fixing cars, gardening, and most importantly being an amazing grandpa and father. He was known for his infectious humor, kindness, thoughtfulness and generosity. His passion for life and living was contagious!

Frank was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Helen Nelson, sisters Betty Jean (Nelson) Keel, Charlene (Nelson) Whittrock, Barbara (Nelson) Wilson and great grandson Luke Jordan Rutledge. Survived by Mary Ann (Nelson) Barton of Apache Ok., daughter Laura Morrow husband Doug Morrow, Antoinette Derting partner Bryan Nelson, granddaughters Michelle Morrow, Jordan (Morrow) Rutledge, Amber (Morrow) Sansom, Francis Morrow, Prudence Morrow, grandsons Logan Nelson, Walter Nelson and Eight great grandchildren Reese, Lillian, Hank, Violet Rutledge, Rylan, Wyndle Lezard, Boone, Levi Sansom of Washington State and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

A funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 13th, 2020 at the Messiah Lutheran Church, 410 H Street NE, Auburn, WA. at 12:30pm.
