LORI MARCELINO SERQUINIA

Lori Marcelino Serquinia, age 71, passed away peacefully May 23, 2019 at his home.

He was born Sept 8, 1947 in Renton, Wa and was raised in the Pacific/Auburn WA area. In 1965 he graduated from Auburn High School where he especially enjoyed auto shop and working on his Jeep. His interest in things mechanical continued throughout his life.

Lori joined the Navy in 1967 where he served as a boilerman on the USS Gridley. He loved to tell the story of becoming a shellback as they crossed the equator.

After the Navy Lori went on to work various jobs over the years; crane operator for the Milwaukee Railroad, 13 years as a warehouseman with Western Electric, 20 years as a toolmaker at Torr Technologies.

Lori was a very funny, fun-loving guy, with too many hobbies to list. His favorites were taking his boat and fishing the Cowlitz River, sailing his HobieCat, riding dirt bikes, golf, softball, and long nights playing cards and pool.

We would like to thank TaniRae Standridge and Comfort Keepers caregivers, Samantha and Theresa, for the wonderful care and joy they brought to Loris life as he dealt with the Alzheimer’s Disease that ultimately took his life.

He is survived by his longtime partner Lauri Paeper, sister Jomarie Meade (John Bell), niece Christine Kinney, nephew Tim Fahlgren (Aneta Lis), great nephew Kaleo Kinney, Lauri’s sons Toby Gallier (Cristina Araghi) and Randy Gallier (Ellen Lewis).

He was preceded in death by his parents Marcelino and Joyce (Herreid) Serquinia, sister Susan Fahlgren, brother-in-law Dick Fahlgren.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held later this summer.
