RAY PULLAR

April 23rd, 1941 – October 8th, 2019

Harold Ray Pullar Jr, 78 of Sumner, Washington passed away peacefully with family by his side on Tuesday October 8th, 2019 at St. Frances Hospital in Federal Way, Washington. Born in Aberdeen, Wa, lived in Montesano until the age of 15 and then moved to Auburn, WA in 1956. Attended Buena Vista Seventh Day Adventist grade school in Auburn through 8th grade and then transferred to Auburn Public Schools. Member of Algona-Pacific Chapter of the Kiwanis Club, he also served 8 years in the Army Reserve from 1956-1963.

Preceded in death by both parents, Harold Ray Pullar (father) and Esther Lillian Larsen Pullar (mother). Preceded in death by brothers Darold, Roy, and Donny. Survived by one sister, Lynn and one brother, Edward, and three grown children and their spouses, Mark (Sandy), Gaila (Dennis) and Linda (Dean); six grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.

Ray worked for the cities of Pacific and Buckley and retired from the city of Algona as the Public Works Director. In his early years, he loved to race motorcycles and cars. He also enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, building things with his wood-working tools, remodeling his home and garage, working in his yard, bowling on Auburn and Puyallup leagues, collecting antiques, taking special care of birds and squirrels as well as looking at Mt. Rainier.

Funeral Services to be held on Thursday October 24th at 11:00AM at Powers Funeral Home – 320 W. Pioneer Ave Puyallup, WA, 98371, followed by a precession to Sumner Cemetery. After the Service, there will be a gathering for family and friends at Riverside Free Will Baptist Church – 14024 Stewart Road Sumner, WA 98390.
