Auburn resident Raymond J. Mortrud died in his home March 31, 2019 at the age of 74.

He was born in Grand Forks North Dakota to Jerome P. Mortrud and Lorraine (LeDoux) Mortrud. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. He is survived by his wife Patricia Mortrud, three brothers and a sister.

He worked as a heavy diesel truck mechanic for most of his career, drove big rigs and built computers to his customer’s specifications.

Ray loved the company of his dogs – Yorkies and Westies.

Raymond was buried at Tahoma National Cemetery in Maple Valley. A celebration of life will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Memorials may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Renton or to Auburn Valley Humane Society.
