Robert E. Lee, Sr.

1923-2018

Robert Edward Lee, Senior, was born January 28, 1923 in Lake Placid, NY to Charles Joseph and Aileen (Buck) Lee. He graduated from Lake Placid High School.

The Navy brought him to Seattle from Lake Placid on October 26, 1945. Robert married Grace Evelyn Bedient while he was in the Navy. He was a member of VFW Post #1741 and FOE #2298 in Auburn for many years.

Robert passed away quietly while at Auburn General Hospital in Auburn, WA on February 25, 2018.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Grace Evelyn (Bedient) Lee; eldest son Robert Edward Lee, Junior; parents Charles Joseph and Aileen (Buck) Lee; and siblings Eugene, Virginia Ann, and Barbara Ruth Lee. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Olga Lee; children Henry Joseph, Ethel Aileen Hough (Larry), Roy Michael, Erle Lyle, Martin William, and Lori Ann Saunders; 7 step-children, and many grand and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bible Chapel Church, 2606 R St. SE, Auburn, WA 98002 where his memorial service will be held Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Tahoma National Cemetery with full Military honors.
