The Auburn Mountainview baseball team improved to 11-2 in the South Puget Sound League 3A Division with a 3-2 win over second-place Enumclaw last night at Auburn Mountainview High School.
Lion pitcher Cody Hebner got the win on the mound with a strong seven innings of work, striking out four and giving up five hits and two runs.
Brandon Williams provided the offense for the Lions, with 2-for-2 hitting and a two-run home run in the fourth inning. Joey Morgan chipped in with a 2-for-2 performance from the dish with a double and a triple.
Enumclaw southpaw Andrew Olson was tagged with the loss giving up three runs, four hits and striking out seven.
The win secures Auburn Mountainview’s spot at the top of the SPSL 3A standings, with a 11-2 league record, 14-3 overall. Enumclaw is currently 10-3 in league, 12-3 overall and in second-place in the SPSL 3A.
