Auburn Riverside takes down Tahoma for NPSL title | Girls prep soccer

Ravens grab top seed to district playoffs

Kiana Gutierrez scored two goals to power Auburn Riverside past Tahoma 4-1 for the North Puget Sound League girls soccer championship at Enumclaw on Saturday.

The Ravens (15-1-1) – the NPSL’s top seed – opens the district playoffs Thursday against the winner of Tuesday’s Hazen of Renton-Rogers of Puyallup match. Kickoff on Thursday is 7:30 p.m. at Kent’s French Field.

Tahoma (13-3-1) – the NPSL’s No. 2 seed – begins district play on Thursday against the survivor of Tuesday’s Federal Way-Olympia match. Thursday’s kickoff is 5:30 p.m. at Kent’s French Field.

Grace Anderson and McKenzie Emmons also scored for AR in the showdown against Tahoma. Samiah Shell had an assist.

Bella Reckling made three saves and allowed the lone goal in the second half.
