Grand day: Podliska powers Lions past Hornets 16-8 | NPSL Olympic softball

Emma Podliska launched a grand slam home run to lead Auburn Mountainview past host Enumclaw 16-8 in a North Puget Sound League Olympic Division softball game Thursday.

The Lions moved to 4-5 in league, 4-8 overall. The Hornets are 3-5, 5-6.

Podliska went 3-for-4 and drove in five runs in the game. Adrianna Lomeli-Smith had three hits, including a double, and drove in three runs. Jordyn Shockman, Taylor Flores and Perla Duran each had two RBI.

Duran got the win, allowing eight runs on 11 hits, striking out three and walking five.
