The Greensox defeated an impressive field of 13U national division teams to captured the Sandy Koufax State Tournament in a long, intense weekend of baseball action July 17-20 at Mercer Island’s Island Crest Park.

The Greensox defeated the Wolfpack, 9-1, in the championship game after downing the ESBA Eastlake Tigers, 10-5, in the semifinal.

Members of the Greensox are Nick Brooks, Taiki Green, Mitch Ciotta, Adam Parke, Brandon Zimmerman, Jeffrey Morgan, Brett Davis, Janson Junk, Ryan Bird, Kash Koltermann and Michael Gretler. The coaches are Matt Ciotta (assistant), Jeff Zimmerman (assistant), Jeff Morgan (head coach) and Jim Gretler (assistant).

The Greensox are comprised of players from Auburn, Pacific, Bonney Lake, Buckley, Federal Way and Lake Tapps.
