Thunderbirds close hockey office, store; release players to go home

WHL season remains suspended

The Seattle Thunderbirds junior hockey team has closed its offices and team store at the accesso ShoWare Center in Kent and released its players to return home.

The office and store will be closed indefinitely in response to COVID-19 virus distancing efforts, according to the T-birds on Tuesday. The team released all players to return home to their families while the Western Hockey League season remains suspended.

T-Birds office staff will be working remotely and can answers fans questions or concerns via email. A listing of staff emails can be found on the staff page of the T-Birds website, scroll to the bottom of the staff page for emails. Staff members will respond as quickly as possible.

The T-Birds’ online team store will continue to operate at Outgoing shipments may be delayed.

The T-Birds, in conjunction with the Canadian Hockey League and Western Hockey League, continue to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and will provide further updates when available.
