Trojans stop Ravens; Lions shut down Gators

Cameron Antee homered and Rhett Stein tripled and had three RBIs as Auburn defeated Auburn Riverside 6-1 in a North Puget Sound League Olympic Division game Monday night.

The Trojans improved to 3-2 in the division, 3-7 overall. The Ravens are 1-4 and 4-6.

For Auburn, starter Evan Jilbert struck out 10, allowing a run and four hits in six innings of work.

Stein went 2 for 3 and scored a run.

Ty Emmons had the Ravens’ lone RBI. He also took the loss, going 2⅓ innings, allowing four runs on three hits and striking out six.

Giovani Parascondola went 2 for 4 and scored a run for Auburn Riverside.

The teams play again at 7 p.m. Wednesday on the Ravens’ diamond.

Elsewhere

At Auburn Mountainview 6, Decatur 0: Nate Weeldreyer threw a complete-game, five-hit shutout, striking out 13, as the Lions (3-2, 4-6) downed the Gators (2-3, 4-6) in an NPSL Olympic game Monday.

Weeldreyer and Conner Kilcup each had two RBIs. Willis Cresswell and Cooper White each had two hits.

The teams play again at 4 p.m. Wednesday on the Gators’ mound in Federal Way.
