Western Washington University senior forward Christian Rotter, an Auburn Mountainview product, has been selected to the Academic All-District Men’s Soccer Team.

It marks the second consecutive year that Rotter has been chosen for the Academic All-District 8 Team.

Rotter earned the nod after tallying a 3.81 GPA as a manufacturing and supply chain management major.

The No. 19 nationally-ranked Vikings inched closer to the Great Northwest Athletic Conference championship with a 2-0 victory over Northwest Nazarene on Thursday night at Harrington Field in Bellingham.

WWU improved to 11-3-1 overall and remained undefeated in conference play at 8-0-1. With three regular-season games remaining, Western leads the conference table with 25 points, needing one point to clinch the third conference title in program history and receive the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA championships.
