Auburn Police blotter | May 24

Auburn Police responded to the following calls, among many others, between May 17 and 20:

May 17

Thievery from vehicle: Overnight, 2600 block of 24th Street Southeast. Somebody stole stuff from a woman’s vehicle, including $1,500 cash.

Felony harassment: 11:51 a.m., 1300 block of Auburn Way N. A business reported that one of its employees had called and threatened to shoot up the place because of a dispute about a paycheck and hours worked.

Disorderly conduct: 10:30 p.m., 3030 R St. SE. Police busted a woman for conducting herself in a disorderly fashion after a fight during a softball game at Game Farm Park.

Theft: 10:20 a.m., 1900 block of A Street Southeast. Somebody got into someone else’s vehicle and deprived that person of a paint sprayer.

May 18

Theft: 5 a.m., 0 block of 16th Street northwest. Somebody hauled off a U-Haul truck, an act to which that person was not entitled.

May 19

Assault with a firearm: 10:37 a.m., 800 8th St. NE. A road-rage incident ended when police busted one dude for first-degree assault.

Property theft: 4 p.m., 1620 Perimeter Road SW. While a family was enjoying its day at the YMCA, somebody swiped a cellphone that belonged to a member of that family.

Theft: 3:53 p.m., 1001 Outlet Collection Way SW. Some thief reached a dishonest arm into a woman’s shopping cart, took her purse and ran off.

Assault: 11:33 p.m., 3702 Auburn Way N. For reasons undisclosed, somebody assaulted a man at a 7-Eleven station.

Controlled substance: 2:36 a.m., 32000 bock of 49th Avenue South. Police responding to vehicle prowlers busted someone for drugs, for having burglary or car theft tools, and arranged for a vehicle associated with the crime to be towed away for a parking violation.

May 20

Trespassing: 9:49 a.m., 3920 A St. SE. McDonald’s gave a disruptive fellow, of undisclosed disruptiveness, the 5-year, be-ye-gone from positioning himself under those famous golden arches.

Violation of order: 2:04 p.m., 762 Outlet Collection Drive SW. Police arrested two adults for shoplifting, and one of them for violating a domestic violence, no-contact order.

Assault: 7:30 p.m., 500 block of F Street Southeast. A man beat on a woman, and in so doing exposed a kid to domestic violence.
