DOROTHY CINKOVICH

It is with great sadness that the family of Dorothy Cinkovich announces her passing on September 16, 2018, at age 85.

An Auburn native, Dorothy was born September 11, 1933, to Verner and Clara Marie Hopke. She moved around both East and West Coasts due to her step-father’s WWII Coast Guard career, until finally returning to Auburn for high school where she met her husband of 62 years, Eugene. They moved to Alaska for a short time following coal mining opportunities before settling in Auburn. Dorothy worked for the Auburn School District until she retired in 1995, first as a cook then running the district’s central laundry service. Dorothy enjoyed gardening and spending time with family and friends.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Eugene in 2012. She is survived by her four children, Eugene Jr., Richard, Mitzi and Joseph, thirteen grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
