Irene V. Morriss

Irene V. Morriss, 87, a resident of Auburn, WA passed away Thursday, September 1, 2016. She was born October 8, 1928 in Baltimore, MD.

Irene leaves behind her sister Carolyn McNelly, one son Lester L. Morriss, Jr. and her daughter Lynne C. Morriss and grandson Joey and 2 other grandsons.

Irene worked with the Auburn Eagles #2298 for 22 years and retired at age 80. She was recognized in the hall of fame in April of 2003. She will meet the love of her life “Bud”, Lester M. Morriss, Sr. and God in the skies above. Irene was a loving mother and best Gram ever. She had many friends and loved them all. We will miss her dearly but never forget her smile. She will never be forgotten.

Graveside service will be at Hillcrest Burial Park, Kent, WA on Friday, September 9th at 11:00 am. A celebration of life will be held at the Auburn Eagles on Sunday, September 11th at 12:00 pm – potluck.
