LEWIS CARL HATFIELD

Lewis Carl Hatfield, husband of Margaret Gosney Hatfield, was born February 21, 1923 in Enderlin, ND, and died on February 06, 2017 in Seattle, succumbing to ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) two weeks shy of his 94th birthday.

Lewis taught high school in the Evergreen and Federal Way School Districts, retiring in 1978. After 23 years as snowbirds to Tucson, AZ, Lew and Margaret moved to Wesley Homes Lea Hill in Auburn.

In addition to his beloved wife and five children – Gretchen Davey (Mark), Nancy (Jerry Graham), Danny (Silvia), Patricia Graves (Paul), and Carrie Johnson – Lew is survived by ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, as well as his youngest sister, Irene Howard.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2:00 p.m., at Wesley Homes Lea Hill, 32049 109th Place SE, Auburn, WA 98092.
