MARY JANE KING

Mary Jane King beloved sister and aunt passed away May 14, 2018 at the age of 82 at St. Joseph Hospital in Tacoma after a brief hospitalization. Ms. King was born February 21, 1936 to Earl and Olive King in West Seattle, Washington. Mary was the second of 6 children born to Earl and Olive King. She attended school in West Seattle moving with the family in 1949 to a farm in Auburn on the Green Valley Road and graduating from Auburn High School in 1954.

Ms. King was predeceased by both her parents in 1968 and 1974 respectively, a brother John King of El Cajon, California in September of 2014 and a sister Carolyn Klemkow of Auburn in October of 2015. She is survived by a sister Elinor Foster of Centralia, brother Larry King of El Cajon,California and sister Linda King unknown residence. Ms. King is also survived by a multitude of nieces and nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews and great grand nieces and great grand nephews.

Ms. King spent her working career in the banking field last working as a mortgage banker for Washington Mutual Bank in Seattle. She had a deep abiding love for her family and enjoyed gardening and watching the flock of hummingbirds that called her property home. She was an avid animal lover and always had a place in her heart for stray animals and adopted thousands of cats and dogs over the years on her property on the Green Valley Road. She provided a place for her nieces and nephews to raise animals so they could participate in 4H activities and FFA and horsemanship activities.
