VERNA LOVELLE WOOD

Verna Lovelle Wood was born in Lewis, Kansas, on April 25, 1928. She married Jim Wood of neighboring Trousdale in 1947, and in 1958 Boeing moved the family to Seattle, where Jim and Lovelle settled their four children in Auburn.

Lovelle was an active member of the First United Methodist Church, Chapter FS of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, and numerous informal groups that supported her interests in sewing, games, travel, and community. She will be remembered by her friends and family for her beautiful quilts, sense of humor, and loving friendships.

Lovelle was widowed in 2006, and is survived by her four children, Mike (Kathy) Wood of Glendale AZ, Cherri (Carroll) Brown of Snohomish, Lindi Wood (Mark Taylor) of Seattle, and Tamra (Matt) Paskus of Bellingham.

A memorial service will be held on May 11th at the Auburn First United Methodist Church and donations in her name may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
