Special thanks to Athens for community supper

I want to thank Athens Pizza & Pasta for hosting its fifth annual Thanksgiving Day Feed to the community on Nov. 24.

This effort could not be made possible without the help of the volunteers.

As I was mingling around helping serve food or drinks, the patrons were very appreciative, giving hugs and thankful for a warm meal. They conveyed to me how they heard about the free meal, whether it was a flyer at a mobile home park, the Auburn Reporter, or at the high school.

One woman stated she’d been eating here while attending school, recommending their Hot Oven Grinders (sandwich) and pasta very highly.

I would like to suggest during this busy time of year that each one of you stop by and have lunch or dinner to give back to the owners of Athens Pizza & Pasta. Shop small.
