Auburn Mountainview silences Federal Way 13-0 in NPSL Olympic softball

Caitlyn Rhoades threw a one-hit gem, striking out nine, as Auburn Mountainview routed visiting Federal Way 13-0 in a five-inning North Puget Sound League Olympic Division softball game Tuesday.

Emily Bartholomew continued her torrid hitting, blasting a home run and driving in four runs for the Lions (3-0 division, 6-2 overall).

The Eagles dropped to 2-1 and 6-1.

Auburn Mountainview put up nine runs in the third inning. Bartholomew, Megan Perius, Purla Duran, Alashae Bell and Adrianna Lomeli-Smith powered the big inning with RBIs.

Duran and Bell each had a pair of RBIs.

Elsewhere, Auburn crushed Thomas Jefferson 21-0 in five innings behind home runs from Lynneti Aumua, Taylor Hanson and Emma Oehler. Carly Ross had a pair of doubles.

Kiana Adams, who struck out nine, and Ross combined on the two-hit shutout for the Trojans (2-1, 6-1).
