Auburn takes softball opener

Lynneti Aumua drove in four runs and Kiana Adams drove in another while scattering seven hits as Auburn defeated Holy Names Academy 6-2 in nonleague, season-opening softball game Tuesday.

Charity Sevaaetasi had three hits and scored a run for the Trojans.

Adams struck out five in going the distance.

Jillian Tinsley also drove in a run.
