Auburn tops Enumclaw, captures division’s No. 3 spot for league plays

Auburn defeated Enumclaw 40-31 in a North Puget Sound League Olympic Division third-place tiebreaker at Auburn Mountainview High School on Tuesday night.

Both girls basketball teams wound up with 8-6 division records, having split their two regular-season meetings.

Jaya Harshman had 15 points, Alerjah Hill scored 11 and Tatiana Rose finished with six points for Auburn.

Auburn (11-10 overall) plays Hazen at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Auburn Mountainview High School for the NPSL’s No. 5 seed to the West Central District tournament. The loser takes the No. 6 seed.

Elsewhere

Meanwhile, Auburn Mountainview (7-7, 11-8) and Auburn Riverside (7-7, 10-10) play loser-out NPSL crossover playoff games on Thursday.

The Lions take on Kentake at 6 p.m. The Ravens and Tahoma follow at 7:30.

Both games are at Auburn Mountainview High School.
