Lions’ Goedde finishes strong at state cross country meet

Auburn Mountainview’s Samantha Goedde saved her best for last, running a personal-best time at the state 4A cross country meet at Pasco’s Suns Willows Golf Course on Saturday.

Goedde, a senior, covered the 5,000-meter course in 19 minutes, 14 minutes to finish 46th.

In the boys race, Auburn Riverside’s Dustin Williams finished 62nd (16:19.5) and Auburn Mountainview’s Nick Wolfe was 86th (16:31.9).

The Ravens’ Marcus Struck was 108th (16:47.6), and the Lions’ Carson Porter-Keese was 113th (16:50) and Austin Cays finished 128th (17:00.8).
