Teams near and far hoop it up at Auburn Shootout | PHOTOS

The Auburn High girls basketball program hosted a large tournament over the past weekend, attracting 36 varsity and junior varsity teams for the second annual Auburn Shootout.

Teams competed from as far away as Port Townsend and Olympia, occupying four courts for games throughout last Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

In the tournament championship games, Rogers of Puyallip defeated White River 40-37 and White River downed the Northwest All-Stars for the JV title 38-34.

The games are part of the spring and summer development program for Auburn and other area high school programs.
